Founded by Dr. Harvey D. Karkus (1928-2017), Diplomate, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Carnegie Hill Institute was one of the very first providers of Methadone Maintenance in NYC. 

 

New York CHI is a private, non-funded, OASAS regulated facility that consists of two separate programs, both discreetly located in the  same facility in Carnegie Hill District. These two programs are located on the main floor and basement levels: The Opioid Treatment Program (basement) and the Chemical Dependency Outpatient Program (main floor).

Both programs at New York CHI offer a vast array of services from DUI programs to intensive outpatient treatment.
